Tis The Season

I've learned this year that even though I think I'm ahead of the game by starting my Christmas shopping in October, I'm really not. I've learned that by starting my shopping earlier, it just gives me longer to lose control, forget what i've already purchased and shop and shop and shop until all the spare closets in the house are bursting! I'm planning my final trip to Wal-Mart this evening. I have a few stocking stuffers to get for Dan and then I think i'm officially done!

I've also learned that starting my Christmas baking early (November 11) is pointless. Most of it has been eaten already, leaving me to have a baking frenzy on Sunday. I have 4 or 5 different cookies that i want to make, I want to make gingerbread men and sugar cookies for Christmas Eve decorating. I would love to make some tarts and other goodies, we'll see how far I can get!! Perhaps second oven for Christmas would be a good idea!

This year I decided to count how many different rolls of wrapping paper I have...the final count is 60. I love having every gift wrapped in a different paper, I also have a severe addiction to said paper...thuse the 60 rolls. And on top of that, I find myself counting down the days until boxing day when it all goes on sale and I can stock up some more. I need one of those GIANT rubbermaid bins to put it all in, as my wrapping paper storage box long ago started overflowing.

So in light of all the preparations I still need to take care off, I'm off to start taking care!
