I was just looking on Facebook at some pictures of a girl I used to babysit. Pictures of her KISSING her BOYFRIEND. Oh my god. I feel faint. She's always going to be 7 years old to me. So she better watch out when I'm back in town and we go for a walk, and I want to hold her hand when we cross the street. Or, when she wants to ride her bike to the park and I secretly follow her just to make sure she gets there okay. Except will she really be going to the park? Or to the BOYFRIEND'S house? Oh my god. Is this what parents feel like when their children start dating? I'm so not ready for her to be dating. Or even looking at boys. Or knowing that they exist. I always told her daddy that he needed to lock her in her room from the time she turned 12 until ohhh say...the day she turned 36. She's such a pretty polite girl. I don't want her to be taken advantage of, or pressured into anything. WHOA....look at my mind go a little crazy there. Yup, that's what my brain does multipule times a day...it's fun to be me.
Just a little recap here on the situation across the street. I did end up phoning the police to go check it out. I noticed on Thursday that the door was open, so naturally, I waited THREE days and then phoned. I wanted to give the apartment time to get REALLY cold and frozen before I intervened. Anyway, I phoned, they came and looked. We all sat in the living room watching (this could have been something REALLY exciting) It was not. They went in, closed the door and came out the other way. That's it. BUUUUT. The next night, the blinds were all open, and there were different lites on in there. I don't think anyone is in there though. So I'm thinking that they just packed up and took off. Good, wholesome honest retards. Nice.
The weather is back down to really friggen cold. I can't complain though, because winters in Alberta are supposed to be cold, so when the snow starts melting and I can see grass in January, that scares me. Though I did enjoy getting the kidlets out of the house a few times. I'm glad it's cold again and I'm really really looking forward to spring's arrival in a few weeks. It's time to get the house aired out and the kids playing in the backyard!
And, that's it for my completely random post for the day. Peace out 'yo!
