This weekend, the long weekend, was certainly long. I'm glad it's back to the grind. Really I am. Saturday I worked. It was a nice break from the usual screaming and crying and fighting. While at work I learned of a little girl in Kitimat who is currently fighting for her life. She suffered a pretty severe seizure and then brain hemorrhage. She had emergency surgery on Saturday night to deal with the bleeding. Apparently there was more bleeding than was originally suspected. She's been placed in a medically induced coma, where she will remain for at least 2 weeks. I'm hearing that she will be down in Children's Hospital for at least a month. This little girl? Is 18 months old. My heart is sick for her mama. So sick.
Also this weekend we (I) decided to paint the basement. It's completed now. I'm not really in love with the colour. I going for a grey with a blue undertone, I ended up with blue and a grey undertone. Crap. I'm not changing it though. I don't have the time, energy and really, don't want to spend another hundred dollars on paint. It is brighter down here, and it does look a lot cleaner, so really I guess I did what I set out to do. I just don't love the colour. Maybe with a few new accessories and some new plants it'll look better. Of course it'll take time to get it all pulled together. We'll see.
This weekend also brought on the lovely summer cold. Well, cold would be an extremely kind description. I feel like I have a Mac Truck sitting on my chest. I've been fevered for the past 2 days. I can't sleep. I've been drinking ice cold water like a maniac, thus, I've been peeing like a maniac. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was pregnant. However, I know better.
Nolan graced us with 2 full nights of rest this week. I'm hoping he's starting to turn a corner. If not, we'll be turning the corner for him via crying it out at night. Doctor said it was perfectly find to do so!
Liam is on day 3 of hardcore potty training. He's had one accident a day usually towards the end of the day where it gets chaotic and he's tired. I'm proud of him! He's so excited to be wearing big boy unders! I love it!
Spencer has been sporting quite the attitude lately. I'm learning that this is part of the territory with 4 years old. He's quickly approaching this milestone. 9 days until the big day. It makes me so sad. I can hardly believe my baby is going to be 4!
Well, the littlest babe is requesting some one on one snuggle time. Better go indulge.
