Ready or Not

Christmas is almost here! And no, I'm not ready. Not at all. I still can't get my butt in gear and wrap presents, still need to bake, organize, clean, clean and clean. Fun. Oh and to top it off, it's -41 with windchill and my furnace is being tempermental. AND there's no one available to fix it until at least the 5th of January. Gotta love it!

So my little man Liam is a puker. Oh man can this kid upchuck. Yesterday he didn't throw up once, I can honestly say that's the first day in his entire life that he hasn't. Today, every time he moves his head he's got milk coming out. We've tried all kinds of formula for him, nothing works. No idea what to do about this!!

Spencer, on the other hand, has suddenly decided that he and bedtime are no longer friends. He has a complete meltdown everytime we tell him it's time to hit the sack. I don't know what to do. I wonder if every 2.5 year old goes through this. Probably!

Anyway, off to stop Liam from unwrapping one of the few presents that I managed to wrap up!

Tis The Season

I've learned this year that even though I think I'm ahead of the game by starting my Christmas shopping in October, I'm really not. I've learned that by starting my shopping earlier, it just gives me longer to lose control, forget what i've already purchased and shop and shop and shop until all the spare closets in the house are bursting! I'm planning my final trip to Wal-Mart this evening. I have a few stocking stuffers to get for Dan and then I think i'm officially done!

I've also learned that starting my Christmas baking early (November 11) is pointless. Most of it has been eaten already, leaving me to have a baking frenzy on Sunday. I have 4 or 5 different cookies that i want to make, I want to make gingerbread men and sugar cookies for Christmas Eve decorating. I would love to make some tarts and other goodies, we'll see how far I can get!! Perhaps second oven for Christmas would be a good idea!

This year I decided to count how many different rolls of wrapping paper I have...the final count is 60. I love having every gift wrapped in a different paper, I also have a severe addiction to said paper...thuse the 60 rolls. And on top of that, I find myself counting down the days until boxing day when it all goes on sale and I can stock up some more. I need one of those GIANT rubbermaid bins to put it all in, as my wrapping paper storage box long ago started overflowing.

So in light of all the preparations I still need to take care off, I'm off to start taking care!

Welcome

So I'm not sure if I'll hand out this address to any friends or family. I think I'll just let them discover it on their own. Though I'm not sure how! Anyway, I suppose the first entry should be something about myself.

I'll start by saying I'm a stay at home mama to 2 little boys aged 2 and 8 months! I love it most days, and struggle from time to time.

Spencer is my 2 year old. He's my big brown eyed, brown hair loveable, considerate and thoughtful forever baby! He's hilarious, he's serious and he's just fun to have around! He loves his little brother most of the time. He has a bit of a hard time sharing toys, but what 2 year old doesn't?!

Liam is my 8 month old blond haired blue eyed little moose!! He's a pretty easy going little man who has a knack for finding things around the house that don't belong in his mouth, and then putting them in. He loves his big brother with his whole heart and tries his very best to follow him around and play with him every chance he gets!
