So What Kind of Week Did You Have?

Wanna know about mine? Let me tell you.

Monday...Liam seems 'funny'. Not his usual self. Sleepy and very cranky.
Tuesday...go into Liam's room first thing in the morning and am greeted with a crib full of puke. Nice. Puking persists all day long. Liam finally starts perking up a little just before bed.
Wednesday, go into Liam's room first thing, am greeted by yet another crib full of puke. Pull Liam out, clean him off, offer him a teeny little bit of water. Comes back up. Phone Dan at work, tell him to come home, we're taking Liam to the hospital to make sure he's not dehydrated.
Wednesday evening. Spencer has a bath then crawls into mommy's bed for a snuggle. Proceeds to puke ALL OVER THE BED. Clean up Spencer puke, bring him downstairs and put him on the couch with pillow blanket and bucket. Give Spencer gravol. three minutes later, gravol comes back up. Get Spencer to bed knowing it's going to be a long night. Not really knowing HOW long it was going to be.
Wednesday late night. Michell starts feeling queazy. Go to bed and wait for the inevitable. 10pm. Michelle gets sick, then proceeds to get sick every FIFTEEN MINUTES for the next TEN HOURS.
Thursday...Michelle gets phone call from friend in the morning seeing if she wants to go for coffee. Michelle informs friend that she needs to go to the hospital but is way to sick to drive. Friend comes and rescues Michelle. Michelle goes to hospital at 10am, gets hooked up to an IV...after an hour of vein hunting and poking. Michelle lays half dead at hospital all day being rehydrated by bag of clear fluids. Michelle is informed by doctor that said IV is not going to be removed until the next day because it was nearly impossible to insert in the first place. Michelle is too sick and tired to care.
Rewind to Wednesday really late night. Dan starts getting sick. REALLY SICK. Dan is sick ALL NIGHT LONG. Dan phones mom first thing in the morning and asks for her to come take care of kids because parents are too sick to move. Mom comes to the rescue.
Friday. Dan takes Michelle back to hospital in the morning to have IV removed from arm. IV is removed...vein proceeds to EXPLODE. Michelle bleeds through her coat before she realizes what's happening. Michelle and Dan rush back into hospital to have vein explosion brought under control. Michelle and Dan go home. Michelle goes back to bed and sleeps for the next 6+ hours. Michelle wakes up, eats dinner and goes back to bed. Sleeps for the next 12.5 hours.
Saturday...Michelle wakes up with cloudy head. Michelle is certain she's getting a cold. Michelle is pissed. Michelle notices that Liam also is crabby and snotty. Liam also is getting a cold. AND still throwing up now and then. Michelle wants this week to end.

Puke

That about sums up the last 14 hours. Yesterday Liam was acting 'off'. He was extremely lethargic. Not his usual bubbly busy self. He slept for about 6 hours in total througout the day yesterday. This morning, I figured out why. When I went into his room this morning to get him up, there was puke from one end of his bed to the other. Not exactly what you wanted to be greeted with first thing. My poor little moose. He seemed to be perking up this evening after 2 baths and a light little supper. However, I just went into his room to check on him and discovered that he'd pooped himself (a whole other issue that's worrying me) and when I picked him up he spewed all over me and his bedroom. This poor little monkey. I hate to see him feeling like crap. I hope hope hope that Spencer doesn't catch whatever Liam has, though I'm sure it'll happen. We've been pretty lucky in the 2.5 years we've been parents, this is our first dealings with puke. Spencer has thrown up twice in his entire life (not counting the very few times he spit up as a baby). Anyway, better get to bed so I can grab a few minutes of rest before duty calls again.

So what am I? Eight weeks pregnant, and not a lot of nausea to report! Little waves here and there, but nothing that can't be fixed with a quick snack. The blood sugar issue is still there. I'll have to ask about that at my prenatal at the end of the month. I've been drinking a LOT of orange juice these past few days. I went through a phase when I was pregnant with Liam where I drank an un-Godly amount of OJ everyday. My doctor told me I had to quit the juice cold turkey, or water it down half and half, because I was drinking so much. Anyway, I quit. But now I'm back on it. I'm sure it's just a passing phase, as is most if not all of my pregnancy 'cravings'.

Well, I think i've more or less decided, if this little peanut turns out to be a girl, I'm going to close down the baby factory. All I can keep thinking about is how friggen tired I am and how I so don't want to go through this again. I think those are pretty clear indicators that I'm nearing the end of my reproducing days. Now, if this peanut turns out to be a boy, i'll have to rethink my plan. Maybe. I'll let you know in about 7 ish months.

We have a name picked out for a girl, but are having a SUPER hard time finding any boys names we like. Go figure. Guess I'm just going to have to keep surfing the net to see what I can find. I like to be prepared, don't you know!

So completely off pregnancy topic here, the weather today was freakin awesome! I took the boys for a walk around the block! A little tough pushing a stroller through melting snow, but we made it work! Spencer was super stoked to be able to show off his brand new pair of 'cool dude shades'. I'm gonna have to go find a pair for Liam too. I have a thing about letting my kids outside without head gear and eye gear. They need hats and sunglasses if it's even a teeny tiny bit sunny...even if it's cloudy and it MIGHT sunny up out there. Gotta have all the appropriate sun protection gear!

Anyway, that's it for today. My brain isn't working at full capacity so I'm gonna go park myself on the sofa and watch the news!!! Later!

No title

I am tired. Oh my lord. I go to bed around 7:30-8:00 at night, sleep until 7:30-8:00 in the morning, doze on the sofa while Liam is snoozing in the morning and I'm still bagged. I can hardly drag myself off the sofa to go to the bathroom. I can't wait for the first trimester to be done so I can get a little bit of energy back!

I've also got a problem with letting my blood sugar drop. I need to be eating almost every hour to prevent this, but it's hard to keep up!! I get to the point where I can't even think a coherent thought. I just finished downing about a litre of orange juice in 3 seconds to try and stop the shakes and confusion!! Need to pay more attention to myself, I think!

Both boys have been such good little men these past few days!! Over the weekend, Spencer and I had a weekend long date! We went to visit my sister and help her move while Dad and Liam stayed home! I couldn't believe how easy it all seemed only having on kid with me!! hahaha i'll never ever complain again!!

Liam is ALMOST walking!! He's getting braver and braver each day! Yesterday he was taking steps all over the place when he though no one was watching him!! I think he wants to figure it all out and then show the world what he can do!! haha

Spencer has been very good lately. I don't know what got into him, but he's very obedient (that makes him sound like a dog!) but he's listening so well, helping out when we ask him to!! It's amazing!! I hope it's not just a passing phase though!! I like the 'terrible twos' that we're going through over here! They're quite pleasant!

Anyway, gonna go watch some cartoons with my boys before it's nap time!!
